And it meant we were going back to the brewery, this time with the boys. So the plan is to all meet up at Hubba's (of course) at 11 o'clock sharp so that we could get through the tour and to a bar to see the 1st period of the Avalanche game at a bar in Golden.
So Charlie, Jess and I arrive in the lot at the specified time... but where is Nick? A quick phone call and we discover Nick's at home watching t.v.?!? Uh, wasn't this your plan Nick? Apparently he had neglected to change his clock from daylight savings time. (Wait, wasn't that weeks ago?)
But luckily we were at Hubba's so a few drinks were in order.
Matt was bartending and so happy to be there so early in the morning.
John Lee and his girlfriend Hillary even arrived early to prepare for the game. After all John is a huge Dallas Stars fan and he and Nick had a bet going. I believe a few cases of Molsen were involved.
Soon Nick met up with us at the bar and after the boys played a few games of foosball we were on our way.

Now, part of the plan was to visit the Capital Bar and Grill that visited on our last trip to the brewery. We were all looking forward to enjoying a nice Barman's beer. Yummy. Unfortunately there was a fire and the Capital is under repair. Bummer.
I think Jess and I both agree that the short bus ride to the brewery is one of the best parts of tour. Doesn't Jess' face just scream "this rocks!"?
And finally we make it to the brewery...
The lobby and waiting area of the brewery is filled with diaramas and info on the history of Coors.
Charlie and Nick get their learn on....
And what a coincidence... The brewery is filled with Molsen paraphenalia. This is for you John Lee!

We enjoyed our 3 free samples. You have options of Coors, Coors Light, Killian's Red, Blue Moon and a few different flavors of Zima.
Another great part of the brewery is the gift shop. I know it's cheesy but you should see all the great Coors stuff they have. I mean, look at the pink hat Nick found. Hot! And this great belt buckle.
Super hot!
Even Charlie found something... Doesn't he look happy with his new hat?
And the best part of Golden... the Sinclair dinosaur! (we can't believe they actually got on it)
So April 8th was not only Jess's birthday but also our 1st entry in to Ben's annual Drunk Olympics. The Drunk Olympics consists of 3 events: Mini Golf, Bowling and Darts. Good times are bound to ensue...
And the winners are....
Jess and James
Yep, the birthday girl turned out to be a big winner! Hooray!
Like I said, Good times.
